Thank you for inquiring with the Metropolitan Airport Authority (MAA) of Rock Island County regarding job opportunities. The MAA hires for the following departments at the airport: Administration, Air Field Maintenance, Building Maintenance, Custodial Maintenance, Fueling/Charter services, and police/fire/public safety division. The MAA does not accept resumes or inquiries about openings on-line, nor do we post openings on our website. Job openings for the MAA are posted in local newspaper classified section. Applications are always accepted. Applications are available at the MAA offices located through door #1 in the west end of the terminal building. You may fill out an application and attach a resume if you wish. MAA office hours are Mon-Fri, 8:00 – 4:30 p.m. (closed noon – 1 p.m daily, weekends, and major holidays.) The MAA has nothing to do with the hiring of the other tenants in the building, including airlines, rental cars, restaurant, gift shop, etc. You may apply independently with these companies. Other jobs within the facility are as follows: The rental car counters, gift shop, and restaurant hire their own staff. You may obtain an application from them or bring your resume. Part time or other positions hired outside of the airport authority includes the parking lot exit lane attendants who are hired through Manpower located downtown Moline. Sedona hires part time custodial positions, curb patrol, wheelchair and electric cart attendants, (a.k.a. "customer care") and skycaps. Please inquire with Sedona located in Moline. For baggage handling and airline counter positions, please inquire with the airline counters. You may bring a resume if you wish or ask them for an application. There is one mechanic-type employer on airport property, Mesaba Airlines (a Northwest Airlink.) Apply at nwa.com. Alternatively, you may inquire with our FBO, Elliott Aviation, in Moline or the Davenport Municipal Airport. Screening checkpoint or baggage screening (TSA) applications are accepted on the web at
http://USAJobs.gov or call 800-887-1895. These are referred to as “screening” jobs, not security.
